Based by caliph of Cordoba, the Andalusian city on the southeast coast of Spain recalls the Muslim past of this region. Above the town rises a massive Alcazaba, which offers stunning views. It should also explore the cathedral and the Museum of Almeria. To the east of the city is severely neglected the coast of Cabo de Gata-Nijar, which currently is a protected area. To the west stretches Park Roquetas de Mar, famous for its extensive beaches.
