The Shroud Of Turin Once Again Demonstrate To The Public
Unique artifact, the shroud of Turin after a gap of almost five years has once again become available to the public. At the main Catholic Church of Turin's Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Holy shroud will be on display until June 24.
The shroud is a linen cloth 4.4 meters long and 1.1 meters wide, which preserved posthumous imprint of the face and body of Jesus Christ, as well as traces of blood on the ground, corresponding to the wounds inflicted on Jesus during the torture and subsequent crucifixion. According to BBC the shroud can be viewed for free, but by appointment.
The shroud, which is located in a bulletproof glass reliquary with constantly maintain the microclimate inside, is demonstrated daily within 12 hours. Closer to the ark only to a distance of several meters.
